Dzin marks the hours and works without accounts. It has no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no access to contacts, location, microphone or your files.
Every setting stays in the phone. Only the items below leave the device: anonymous chime delivery statistics and short technical crash reports (when statistics are on), a diagnostic report you send yourself, and the Dzin+ access check.
Once a day the app sends counters: how many chimes played on time, how many were late, how many were lost, plus the phone vendor and model, the Android version, the app version and two flags — whether exact alarms are allowed and whether battery restrictions are lifted.
If the app crashed or stopped responding (ANR), the next launch may also send a short technical report: failure kind, exception class, a truncated stack trace and the same device details — without your typed text and without the install ID tied to Telegram.
The purpose is single: to find firmwares that silence alarms or crash the app and to write instructions for specific vendors. The identifier in these uploads is random, created by the app itself, and is tied neither to your device nor to your Telegram account; the server keeps only its hash.
You can switch it off at any time: Settings → “Anonymous statistics”.
Sent only when you tap “Send diagnostics” and confirm. The report contains the phone model and firmware version, the state of permissions and power-saving modes, your chime settings as numbers and flags (interval, active period, chosen sound), and the app event log: when a chime was scheduled, when it fired, when it was lost.
The report never contains text you typed, your list of apps, file contents, or data from other programs. It exists so the answer you get is to the point instead of a settings interview.
The report text is deleted after 60 days, the record of it after a year.
If you activate a gift or promo code, the app sends the server an install identifier so that the access comes back on its own after a reinstall or a new phone. That identifier is created on first launch and is not an advertising ID.
When you open the app’s Telegram bot yourself, your Telegram user number is attached to that identifier — otherwise there is nowhere to send the gift or the reply. Your messages to the bot, your ideas and your votes are stored so the author can answer and take them into account.
The app server runs on Cloudflare Workers with a Cloudflare D1 database. Data is never sold or shared with third parties; only the app author has access to the database.
Conversations inside Telegram are governed by Telegram’s own policy — the author sees only what you wrote to the bot.
Send the bot the /forgetme command — it asks for confirmation and then deletes your record, the device link, your messages, ideas, votes and the diagnostic reports you sent.
Dzin+ already unlocked on the device is not taken away: it stays in the app but stops restoring itself after a reinstall.
